Today we had to get to the train station by 7:30am to catch the train to Ancona on the coast.
It was a miserable, wet, cold morning in which we had to drag our luggage through the streets to the vaporetto.
We managed to get onto the train on time and settled in for a 3hr train trip to Ancona.
From here we were catching a ferry over a 24hr time period to Patras in Greece.
We arrived in Ancona to pouring rain. We then had to catch a free shuttle bus to a certain place to obtain our proper tickets.
We then had to get back onto the shuttle bus to get to the actual port because why should they be close together? That doesn’t make sense at all?!
Before we got on the boat we had lunch and watched all the big trucks being driven onto the ferry.
We had booked a cabin onboard as it was an overnight trip.
While it was exciting at first it quickly got boring. We had dinner in the restaurant and watched some TV.
The seas were rough all night and I constantly felt like I was going to roll out of bed! Peter slept all night of course. Men! They will sleep through anything!
