As the sun was rising over Venice on a crisp -7 degrees morning Silvia & John said farewell to Kylie and Peter as they took the water taxis back to the train station.
After that it was just Peter & myself in Venice.
We wondered through the winding streets and over small bridges to cross the bridge near the Gallerie dell’Accademia as we wanted to go to the Peggy Guggenheim gallery.
The Peggy Guggenheim gallery holds modern art, even some artists I know such as Picasso, Mondrian, Kandinsky & Klee and lots of artists I didn’t. As art is quite subjective Peter & I were commenting on what they consider ‘art’.
As I said it’s all subjective! Here are some pieces that Peter thought interesting.
We also wanted to go to the Santa Maria della Salute church but when we got there it wasn’t open and we were not willing to wait around in the freezing cold for an hour!
We wondered back towards the bridge a different way and sat & had coffee in the sun, as this was the one sunny day in Venice.
