Day 25 – Town of Zermatt

We were going to catch the cable car up to the Little Matterhorn today but unfortunately the weather was not conducive. The cable cars were not operating.

So instead we walked around town. We went to the church and looked at the cemetery where pretty much all the people had died on the surrounding mountains, mountain climbing I’m presuming. Some of the graves were from the 1800’s.

We then found the old part of town (correction – Peter lead us to it!) from like the 16th century. The buildings are still standing and some of them had been converted into places you could stay.

Peter & I went back to the hotel but Silvia & John decided to wonder around looking at the shops.
