Even though Silvia & I were not feeling well we went to look at the Eiffel Tower.
Silvia & John caught the elevator to the 2nd level while Peter & I walked up. It was quite foggy so we couldn’t see the top of the tower. It was very cold at the top of the Tower.
We then walked to the Arc de Triomphe and down Champs-Élysées. We stopped at McDonalds to get a hot drink, but it was more like going through customs at the airport. When we finally got in, the drinks got messed up and we were over it (avoid at all costs). By this time I wasn’t feeling very well at all and neither was Silvia.
That night we had tickets to go to the Moulin Rouge so we went back to the hotel and slept for about 3-4hrs until it was time to go to the Montmatre district.
We caught the train to Montmatre where we found a little French restaurant for dinner.
We then went to the Moulin Rouge show. It went for 2hrs. It could have gone for 1hr and it would have been sufficient. Sorry! By this time I was really really sick so sitting there for 2hrs was complete agony! Peter enjoyed it, but drank too much champagne and felt ill that night.
The show involved lots of breasts and bottoms on behalf of the women but didn’t show much of the men which I thought was a bit sexist! There was also one of the dancers that jumped into a tank of water full of snakes! The snakes were trying to get out of the tank! Bit scary!
