Day 11 – Family reunion in Krems

December 25, 2016January 14, 2017 By admin

Karin and Josef arranged a private party for family and friends in a Heuriger (a tavern owned by friends of the family).  It was an emotional reunion for Peter & Silvia who hadn’t seen their family for many years.  There was much eating, drinking, reminiscing, crying, laughing and singing.

Josef our master of ceremonies started us all on a musical round as he nominated each person to sing their favorite song. We had yodels, Christmas songs (Rudolf the red nose reindeer for Uncle Rudi), popular Austrian numbers and of course Jake the peg with his 3 legs from John (it got a good laugh even though most didn’t have a clue what he was on about). Alas time went by too quickly and we said our farewells until we meet again.
