Day 1  Silvia / John-  Dubai

December 15, 2016January 8, 2017 By admin

Dubai disguises herself in a  blanket of white, not hinting on the riches that lie beneath as we fly into the desert mirage. On arrival the huge structures, space and ordered elegance tells a tale of wealth and modern growth. Our hotel was an example of this. We explored the old textile “souks” (markets) as the traders literally snared us into their stores as they wrapped scarves around our necks. Once we had enough of them we returned to our hotel via boat taxi which were mostly full of Arabians in white with their black clad wives. The creek is a busy thoroughfare of these little taxis and bigger boats carrying their cargo and all lit up like Christmas trees. Hoo Roo
